Housing Coordination Program
To date, HCC Housing Coordination has found quality, affordable housing options for over 680 people in our community. HCC Housing Coordinators work one-on-one to assist individuals with developmental disabilities with finding quality, affordable housing options through a seven-step process:
1.     Intake and housing assessment
2.     Assistance with housing and Section 8 voucher waitlists
3.     Assistance with completing applications and leases
4.     Assistance with any reasonable accommodations or modifications.
5.     Assistance with resolving other barriers to housing
6.     Assistance with locating security deposit and other financial needs.
7.     Educate individuals on housing issues, logistics and current laws.
 
Resident Coordination Program
Our Resident Coordination program works with over 125 residents in our community to help them maintain their homes. HCC Resident Coordinators are a liaison between residents and property management to help individuals sustain their housing at HCC Partner Properties. Support can come in the way of:
1.     Assist in mediation of housing conflicts and concerns.
2.     Support residents to understand the rules and regulations of the property.
3.     Maintain weekly communication with property management to prevent resident issues before they occur.
4.     Facilitate fair housing issues, such as reasonable accommodations and modifications.
5.     Provide assistance to residents in renewing their lease agreements.
6.     Coordinate residents meetings and events on a monthly basis, that create community building and promote self-advocacy.

Security Deposit Loan Program
HCC's Security Deposit Program is a zero-interest loan to individuals for use on security deposits and first month's rent. Loans are given only to qualifying applicants based on need. Loans are generally expected to be repaid within 12-18 months.

Akers Resident Assistance Program
HCC's Akers Resident Assistance Program provides grants to those with the greatest needs for use to purchase basic household items when they first move into their new residence.
