Title: Residential Coordinator

Location: The majority of the work will be done at three of our apartment complexes in San Jose and Morgan Hill

Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible schedule

Rate: $16.82 - 19.23/hour, DOE


The Resident Coordinator serves as a connection between residents with developmental disabilities, their staff, service providers, San Andreas Regional Center, Housing Authority and property management. The Resident Coordinator is an integral position for Housing Choices Coalition in ensuring success for residents living independently at several properties in Santa Clara County. The position has flexible hours and can be adjusted to your own schedule.

Essential Functions:

Advocate for our residents to make certain that they are receiving proper services for their housing needs.

Support and assist property managers with implementation of rules and regulations.

Assist in mediation of resident conflicts and/or any other housing concerns.

Coordinate and attend resident/community activities on a regular basis.

Provide assistance to residents in renewing their lease agreements, as needed.

Maintain regular communication with individuals concerned with clients’ training, including case managers and service coordinators.

Maintain communication with property management to prevent resident issues.

Attend Circle of Support meetings, as invited.

Ensure a healthy and safe environment for residents.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.A. degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

At least one year experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in an advocacy role.

Ability to be flexible with scheduling and prioritization of tasks.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record keeping skills, and good independent judgement.

Occasional nights and weekends.
