For the past five years, Holly and Daran, a young married couple, have been living at Archstone Santa Clara. Archstone Santa Clara is an upscale apartment complex where 24 units are set-aside for people with developmental disabilities at below-market rent. They previously lived in Campbell, paying $1,600 a month for a very small apartment. Housing Choices assisted them in finding a more affordable apartment at Archstone Santa Clara that offers gated security, a pool, Jacuzzi, fitness room and computer room. Because both Holly and Daran are employed and have very busy schedules, they really appreciate the quick response when they have maintenance problems in their apartment. When they're not working, they go with friends to Great America, go cycling, or enjoy swimming in the pool near their apartment.
